The SON0500021 is part of the innovative modular SON05000 temperature-control system, designed for the flexible and controlled temperature regulation of laboratory and reaction vessels. The temperature-control jacket enables controlled temperature regulation of a 150 ml DWK/DURAN beaker high shape (h.F.) within a temperature range of -20 to +200 °C. The laboratory vessel used remains interchangeable and is enclosed by a double-walled temperature-control jacket made of V2A stainless steel, material 1.4301. The temperature-control fluid from an external circulating thermostat is routed through the double jacket. The sample and the temperature-control medium do not come into direct contact.

The standard version features an open bottom and is suitable for use on a magnetic stirrer. The vessel can be stirred during temperature control; continuous mixing supports a more uniform temperature distribution. As standard, the temperature-control jacket is equipped with two fixed hose connectors / olive fittings, Ø 12 mm, for the supply and return of the temperature-control fluid. Threaded connections are available as an option.

Additional insulation is recommended for applications at temperatures below 15 °C or above 50 °C.

The temperature-controlled bottom provides additional temperature regulation of the vessel from below. A magnetic stirrer can also be used with this version. Without a vessel inserted, the version with a temperature-controlled bottom can also be used as a compact temperature-control bath. Insulation and the temperature-controlled bottom are design options and must be ordered together with the temperature-control jacket; retrofitting is not intended.
 

Required for Operation

A suitable external circulating thermostat with an appropriate hose set is required for temperature control. For applications requiring simultaneous mixing, a magnetic stirrer can also be used.

Note on Dimensions

The stated dimensions are approximate values. Dimensional tolerances of the laboratory bottles used are taken into account during the design process. The final fit will be checked when processing the order based on the intended vessel or the current vessel drawing.
